Jason’s Success Story

By Cassie Sellers at Anytime Fitness

I love my job and find it so rewarding.  It is great to be able to take part in others accomplishments, especially when you helped them get there.  This is one of my clients, his name is Jason, and he has come so far in just 2 months.  This is what he had to say about our gym.

“My name is Jason. I've only been coming to Anytime Fitness since the first of April 2009, but I'm already in love with the place. I owe a lot to Cassie, Jennifer, and the rest of the Anytime Fitness crew.

As you can see from the "before" photo, I was going down a bad road. I tried every fad diet you can think of, only to lose a little weight and gain a lot back. I was miserable to say the least. I knew I wasn't living to my potential. I wasn't being the person I wanted to be. My blood pressure was through the roof. I had no energy.  Plus, my heart was in terrible shape. Heart disease is one of the leading killers of men, and I was flirting with it.  Fortunately for me, I found someone to guide me in the right direction.

Cassie has helped me do in 2 short months what I wasn't able to do in 7 years of trying. I've put my trust in her because she knows what she's doing. You can tell that she really enjoys what she does. Whenever I make progress, she sometimes seems sincerely more excited than I am!

I was nervous about getting a trainer at first. I was somewhat uncomfortable the first couple of sessions. But now, the gym is like another room in my home, and the people here are like family. And even though my workouts are exhausting, challenging, and sometimes painful, hanging out at the gym with Cassie is a highlight of my week. I tell everyone how much I'm enjoying it.

So, here's some numbers. The "before" photo was taken on April 1st, 2009. I weighed 262 lbs. The "during" photo was taken on June 1st, 2009. In that photo, I weigh 240 lbs. I'm calling that a "during" pic because I'm nowhere near my goal for "after".

Another huge deal is my blood pressure. I joined the gym at level 2 hypertension. My doctor wanted to put me on medication. I begged her not to and told her I wanted to try to lower it with diet and exercise. She was a little doubtful I was taking it seriously, but, she let me give it a try. Now, my blood pressure is at a normal level, and I did it without medication. I did it by listening to what Cassie told me and applying it.

So, if you're in the gym and reading this, you're in the right place.

Now, stop reading and go work out!”
